We are thrilled to announce that, a veteran of the British Army and who has become known throughout the UK for his recovery and charity work after suffering sever burn injuries during the Falklands War, will be this year’s awards presenter.
When the RFA Sir Galahad was destroyed in the Bluff Cove Air Attack during the Falklands War, in 1982, Simon Weston CBE a Welsh Guardsman was on board. Simon was severely injured, sustaining serious burns to 46% of his body.
Simon commented: “I am honoured to be hosting this year’s BHTA awards as i know from personal experience, and through my charity work what a different the products and services provided by BHTA member companies can make to people’s lives. The healthcare and assistive technology market is important to elderly and disabled people and i look forward to helping celebrate all the good work done by industry on 29th November.”
