Invacare’s Think Pressure Care team are now a corporate sponsor of the Tissue Viability Society, working in partnership to support the aim of pressure ulcer prevention.
Established in 1981, the Tissue Viability Society supports over 600 members from a range of healthcare professions who have a vested interest in tissue viability, aiming to promote research and increase awareness of good clinical practice in wound prevention.
Commenting on the partnership, Annie Allsopp, Invacare’s Clinical Specialist for Pressure Area Care, said: “By partnering with an opinion leading organisation such as ‘The Tissue Viability Society’, Invacare is able to support the society’s aim of best clinical practice in Tissue Viability. Partnerships such as these, help Invacare maintain their market leading position by keeping abreast of clinical, industry and NHS initiatives and ensures that we are fully engaged in dialogue on the important topic of pressure ulcer prevention and treatment.”
Invacare’s Think Pressure Care initiative focuses on pressure ulcer prevention, playing a major role in patient safety and clinical outcomes by providing a range of high specification pressure redistributing equipment. The initiative also helps to raise awareness of pressure ulcers throughout NHS trusts, local authorities and organisations involved in the community and residential care.
The partnership with the society will see the Think Pressure Care initiative reach a wider audience who will benefit from clinical advice, product information and training according to Invacare.
