IATA (International Air Transport Association) have produced and just released their latest mobility aid guidance document.
The new guidelines were finalised at a working group meeting held in Dallas USA at the end of August and IATA are confident this will help to have a standardised approach by airlines and help to improve the passenger experience when travelling by air.
BHTA are working continuously with the aviation industry and keep an air transport list of mobility manufacturers products to help airlines when transporting products around the world. If your battery powered wheelchair or mobility scooter model are not listed, please let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can improve the information we supply.
