Disability Confident Training helps people to understand disability from a human rights perspective. It is effective in helping staff and organisations to understand the barriers facing disabled people and more importantly, what steps can be taken to create inclusive services.
Warrington Disability Partnership is a user led charity with over 25 years’ experience of designing, developing and delivering inclusive services. Through their social enterprise, the Disability Trading Company, they are a member of BHTA. They have delivered Disability Equality Training sessions to over 40,000 people from statutory, private and 3rd sector organisations and universities, colleges and schools. All of their presenters are disabled people, often referred to as ‘experts by experience’.
Attending Disability Confident Training can help individuals and organisations to meet the diverse needs of disabled people who can be; customers and/or employees.

The basic contents include;
• Definitions of disability, who is included by the term ‘disabled people’
