As a very strong promoter of the mobility industry since 1997 and the BHTA I have been in our industry now for almost 25 years, I am currently the owner and Managing Director of Anglian Lifts Ltd based in Peterborough and I have also spent the last three years on the BHTA board of Directors, prior to these positions I purchased Anglia Stairlifts Ltd that was then a going-concern and completely re-established it to a healthy profitable position with a truly great reputation during the five years I spent there until June 2021. I not only have immense retail experience of our industry but also of manufacturing in the UK and worldwide distribution including the United States and Australia, previous positions included Managing Director of MediTek Ltd based in the North East of the UK (a global manufacturer of stairlifts) and also President of MediTek Incorporated based in the USA which was part of the global distribution strategy of the company.
I have a in depth understanding of the commercial requirements of this industry and of what is required to run a successful business trading in both the public and private sectors, from ‘grass routes’ installation and maintenance (as I am also a fully qualified domestic lift engineer) and everything in between. In addition to this I have been and continue to be a supporter of the BHTA and its aim to be the principal trade association for the homecare industry.
