BBC Panorama Programme Highlights Challenges Faced By Families with Disabled Children

On Monday 16 July, the BBC will be broadcasting a Panorama programme focusing on the lives of families with disabled children.  The programme will be broadcast at 8.30pm.

We are proud to be a member of the Disabled Children’s Partnership – a coalition of more than 60 charities campaigning for better health and social care for disabled children.  The DCP’s “Secret Life of Us” campaign brings to life the realities of the challenges disabled children, young people and their families face in living a life many of us take for granted.

Monday’s programme will be very much in line with the The Secret Life Of Us.  Three extraordinary families let cameras into their homes to see what it takes to give their children the care they need on a daily basis.  And the programme asks the question: are we willing to do what it takes to give these children a decent quality of life?
